Queen of Swords Case Study

Queen of Swords owner Chrissy had grown her electrology business and was positioned as the go-to electrologist for folks dealing with unwanted hair growth who also desired an empathetic and understanding provider.

She needed a brand and website that matched her service quality and unique personality.

Moodboard

Before we move forward with branding, I have the client choose a moodboard to take the design direction down a more curated path.

This moodboard was very ethereal, vibrant, and transformative. Electrolysis is a very intimate treatment that can bring up a lot of feelings for people receiving it. We wanted to ensure clients felt seen, heard, and safe in this space where the transformation will occur.

A collage of various images including a logo for 'Sweet Leaf Gardening Goods' with a cloud background, a soft pink flower named 'Roundl', an ornate mirror reflecting pink clouds, a black and white butterfly sketch, black and white iris illustrations, a person holding a butterfly over water, a line drawing of wings and a sword, purple flowers with lightning reflections, and a black and white tattoo-style angel wings and stars.

Logo Suite & Icons

Following inspiration from the mood board, I created a primary logo that shared the same ethereal vibes. Butterflies and lilies are seen as representations of transformation. Her brand icons were handrawn to give a more organic and soft feeling.

I included several logo variations to ensure they could be used in various formats, including print and merchandise.

Website

The majority of her clients were coming from her existing website, but she noticed that conversions were lower than she would expect from the amount of traffic she was receiving.

She wanted a website that people wanted to visit and stay on. Something visually appealing, but also informative.

I expanded on her copy and added fun animations through the website that contribute to that ethereal and magical vibe.

Social Media

With all branding packages, I include social media templates and content pillars to help you get started on your social media marketing.

Her launch graphics were designed to introduce her clients to her new brand and prepare them for the changes.

Being a small business owner changed my life. I went from underpaid and undervalued to having a job I felt genuinely excited to work on every day.

That's exactly why I'm obsessed with working on brand and web design projects for other creative entrepreneurs. I want to help you experience the independence and success that can come from small business ownership.

I've spent the last several years learning all the ins and outs of brand strategy, web design, and SEO. So I totally get the overwhelm of trying to wear every single hat in your business.

I love watching service providers go from their scattered DIY vibe to a “omg, I need to work with them” digital presence.
